Whose House?

What singles are worth a spin this month?

In reverse order, cos it's more like the proper charts that way ...

5. Next Year - Foo Fighters
Released on December 4th, this song is one of my favourites from the album "There is Nothing Left to Lose". The video is set in Space - and NASA agreed to let the boys use previously unreleased footage of the Apollo XI mission. So now you know.
4. Original Prankster - Offspring
Extremely funny - any song that features the lines "Prozac can make it better" and "You know it smells like shit - goddamn!" deserves repeated listens.
3. Disposable Teens - Marilyn Manson
Eh? What's this? Anyone who knows me will also know that I'm not exactly Mr Manson's no.1 fan. In fact, ordinarily, it's pretty fair to say that I hate him. However, the fact of the matter is, "Disposable Teens" is absolutely bloody brilliant, and has caused me to re-evaluate him slightly.
2. Buck Rogers - Feeder
"I've got a brand new car," sings Grant Nicholas. "Looks like a Jaguar," no, it's not a cover of Madness' "Driving In My Car". "It's got leather seats," he brags. "It's got a CD Player-Player-Player-Player ..." classic Feeder. Not out until January 2001, but Steve Lamacq is giving it a good airing on his Radio 1 Evening Session. It rocks. The first single from the forthcoming album "Echo Park".
1. Do You Wanna Go Faster? - Terrorvision
Yes thank you, I would like very much to go faster. Not released until January 2001 either, this is also playlisted on the Evening Session. When this was announced as the next single, I had my doubts over whether it would work, but when it came on the radio, I began to mosh around my bedroom like a good'un.
