Terrorvision - just What the Doctor Ordered.

It's pretty safe to say that I'm a Terrorvision fan.
It would be even more accurate to say that I worship them.

Terrorvision, for those of you who don't know, are a rock band. They consist of bassist Leigh Marklew, drummer "Shutty", vocalist Tony Wright, guitarist Mark Yates and keyboard player/backing vocalist Josephine Ellul, who joined the band in 1998.

It all started about four years ago, in the winter of 1996. I had just turned 13, and for the most part was still very much into shallow, manufactured bubble-gum pop music. I listened to Radio 1 almost perpetually, and then one day, I heard a song: "Hassle bound? Not me/I'm happy and it's easy and it's free". The song was, of course, "Easy".

That weekend I went to HMV and found the single. I bought it, listened to it, loved it and went straight back out to buy the album ("Regular Urban Survivors") - which I found on tape in WHSmith for a mere 3 quid. Bargain!

Things just spiralled from there. Over the next 2 years, I gradually got all four albums, and listened to less and less manufactured pop - which I was beginning to realise was just a cynical attempt by the record companies to make huge amounts of money out of impressionable kids. I also developed a healthy interest in other rock bands directly because of my interest in Terrorvision - I wanted to see what else was out there.

So, it can be directly attributed to Terrorvision that I have become the man I am today - hardened rocker and not a bubble-gum pop tune in sight.
